ROCKWOOL Racing finished third on Lake Geneva at the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix, booking back-to-back event finals for the first time since 2022.
The Danish team went into Sunday leading Group A, knowing a solid showing could carry it into the four-boat final. The result came just two weeks after the team reached the final in Valencia.
A fifth place in the opening race of Race Day 2 wasn't the ideal start, but ROCKWOOL Racing answered with two straight race wins to lock in its spot in the final.
Driver Nicolai Sehested said: "I'm happy with third place and another strong result for the team. It's great to feel like we're climbing back towards where we belong."
"It was another good day for us in Geneva. It's a very tricky venue, but to be honest, it turned out much better than we expected."
"We made the final for the second event in a row, so very happy with the momentum and consistency. We didn't quite pull it off the way we wanted, but we executed the plan we had. We got the windward end of the start line and the right turn at the bottom mark. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't."
Lake Geneva served up light, tricky conditions all weekend, and the Danes handled them well, staying near the front of the fleet and continuing the form they've been building.
"We definitely have the boat dialled in in these light conditions, and it's showing," Sehested added.
"Now we're looking forward to the Middle East. We have two more events where we expect light conditions, so there's a real opportunity to continue building this momentum."
"Then there's plenty of work for us in the off-season to make sure we get the boat equally dialled in when the breeze gets into the medium and heavy range."
ROCKWOOL Racing now sits eighth in the overall SailGP Season Championship with two events left to run.
The fleet heads to Dubai and Abu Dhabi for a Middle East double-header at the end of November, where the SailGP Season 6 champion will be crowned.
