The Cruising Association is sweetening the deal for new members at this year's Southampton International Boat Show, running 18-27 September 2026, with a 20 percent discount on Full Membership, a new monthly payment option, and the launch of a Young Cruiser Membership for those aged 18 to 35.
Visitors can meet the CA team on Stand H244 in New Wave Hall to find out how membership might suit their cruising plans and take advantage of the special Boat Show rates.
Robin Baron, President of the Cruising Association, said: "The CA is all about cruisers sharing knowledge, experience and friendship. We want to make that community accessible to as many people as possible. Our new membership options and ways to pay give people greater choice and flexibility, whether they are just starting their cruising journey or have many miles under their keel."
New members can save 20 percent on Full Membership, bringing the annual subscription down from £172 to £138 for those paying by Direct Debit or recurring card payment. Full Membership covers either an individual or two members living at the same address, and provides access to the CA's cruising information, services, expertise, events and worldwide community of cruisers.
Those who can't get to the show need not miss out. The code SIBS2026 applies the same discount on the online joining form, valid until Saturday 31 October 2026.
For the first time, new members can also spread the cost of Full Membership by monthly Direct Debit. At the discounted rate, that works out to £11.50 a month. The monthly payment option is open to all new, first-time members who join or apply to join by 31 October 2026, either in person on Stand H244 or directly to the CA by email or telephone.
The CA has also launched a Young Cruiser Membership, replacing its previous youth membership and broadening the age range considerably. The reduced rate of £50 a year is available to those aged 18 to 35, running through to the end of the year in which a member turns 35, with access to all the benefits of Full Membership.
Existing Crewing Service Members can upgrade to Full Membership on the same terms, taking the 20 percent discount and monthly payment option if they join or apply by 31 October 2026.
Membership includes access to CAptain's Mate, Cruising and Home Base Sections, a worldwide network of members and representatives, local, national and international rallies, social events, lectures and webinars, the Crewing Service, the CA's London clubhouse, and discounts from a range of marine businesses and service providers.
Across the ten days of the show, the CA will host specialist stand days, cruising and technical experts, competitions, morning coffee and tea socials, and evening happy hours, giving visitors plenty of reasons to drop by Stand H244 more than once.
