The record books needed rewriting, and Clockwork obliged. When Steve Mair and his crew crossed the finish line just east of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, they did something no crew had managed since 2022: they bettered the course record that Wired had held for three years. Their time of 2 days, 3 hours, 37 minutes and 17 seconds was no narrow shave, either. They broke Wired's mark by more than four minutes.
