Peter Morin and China CTIC Team have parted ways, with the Frenchman departing as the team's driver after nine seasons together.

Morin started this season's opening race in Cagliari for the team, but was then absent from the recent Grand Prix in Kyrgyzstan. Offered the chance to return for the upcoming Grand Prix of Shanghai, he instead chose to step away.

The split brings an end to a partnership spanning 44 Grand Prix, during which Morin claimed ten podium finishes across Sprint Races and Grand Prix events.
In a statement, Morin thanked the team for the trust they placed in him, singling out "the entire staff, and [Team Manager] Eric Chan in particular". He described the 2023 season "as a particularly intense highlight, marked by my taking third place in the Drivers' World Championship".
China CTIC Team is expected to confirm Morin's replacement shortly, with the new driver set to partner Brent Dillard.
