An electric catamaran designed for universal accessibility is offering barrier-free cruising to wheelchair users, seniors, families and complete beginners.
The BRAVECAT, associated with Warsaw, operates on electric propulsion with remote control operation that requires no formal qualifications – only brief training, reading the regulations and common sense.
The vessel's standout feature is its adaptable deck system. A lifting platform or folding gangway enables wheelchair access, while rails across the deck secure wheelchairs, mobility scooters or passenger seats in various configurations. The catamaran accommodates up to four people total, including up to two wheelchair users or combinations of wheelchair and seated passengers.
Its shallow draught allows access to areas unreachable by conventional boats, motorboats or yachts. The electric drive runs silently without emissions.
Remote assistance technology provides additional safety. Inexperienced crews can receive remote guidance for departure and docking, and staff can intervene to return the vessel to port if a user becomes disoriented.
Onboard amenities include a folding sun canopy, audio system, folding table with bottle and cup holders, lighting, storage locker and adjustable seating. Construction uses recyclable materials, with plastic elements manufactured by rotomoulding.
The catamaran also carries water quality monitoring equipment measuring dissolved oxygen, conductivity, chlorophyll, pH, algae, turbidity, temperature and depth.
