Tom Slingsby's Bonds Flying Roos have won their second Group B race in a row at the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix, leading from the first mark and holding the front all the way to the finish. Behind them, Emirates GBR moved from fourth to second across the middle of the course, while NorthStar Canada went the other way, from second at the finish of Race 1 down to last here.
All six boats crossed the start line inside three seconds of each other, and this time nobody picked up a penalty. Australia rounded the first mark clear, with Artemis Sweden 1.2 seconds back in second and the US SailGP Team third. By the second mark that order held: Sweden second, USA third, Emirates GBR fourth, Germany fifth, Canada last at 16.3 seconds back.
The timing log doesn't show a mark between there and the next split, so exactly where it happened isn't clear, but by the following mark Dylan Fletcher's Emirates GBR had gone from fourth to second, past both Sweden and the Americans. They held that spot to the finish, 24.8 seconds behind Slingsby. Sweden slipped to third, the US SailGP Team to fourth.
Germany improved one place on their opening race, coming home fifth, though still nowhere near the front at home. Giles Scott's NorthStar Canada had the bigger swing, finishing last, more than a minute behind the leader after being second across the line in Race 1.

Group B after two races
Points awarded on the group stage run 5-4-3-2-1-0 for first through sixth. On that scale, Australia lead Group B qualifying with a maximum 10 points from two starts. Artemis Sweden sit second on 6, ahead of Emirates GBR on 5. The US SailGP Team and NorthStar Canada are tied on 4, with Germany last on 1. Only the top two in each group advance to Sunday's four-boat final, so Australia's perfect start puts them in a strong position with races still to come.
