Beneteau's Alpine edition hits 44 knots off Barcelona

The Gran Turismo 35 Alpine Edition hit 44 knots off Barcelona this month, giving journalists, content creators and Alpine's own teams a firsthand taste of what Beneteau's collaboration with the French car maker can actually do on open water.

The boat drew particular attention at the Barcelona show, where it sat beneath an Alpine A390 positioned directly above it on the display stand, a pairing designed to show off the shared design language between the two brands.

That styling exercise was put to the test on the water on 15 October. After a shared breakfast and a presentation of the partnership, the Alpine teams, journalists and several content creators boarded the Gran Turismo 35 Alpine Edition for a sea trial departing from the Barcelona marina.

Once clear of the docks, the boat showed what it could do. Powered by twin 425hp motors, it combines a responsive hull with strong stability and a comfortable ride even as speeds climb. Pushed to 44 knots, it displayed a genuinely sporty edge while remaining controlled and predictable to handle, blending performance with onboard comfort.

Content creators Pol Arisó, Sam and Meri Hidalgo were among those on the water trial, alongside journalists and members of the Alpine team, experiencing the boat first-hand rather than simply viewing it on the show docks.

Thibaud Vincent-Genod, Alpine's Marketing Director for Spain, was involved in the event, which gave real substance to the Beneteau x Alpine partnership, an experience built around shared design sensibility and shared sensations rather than appearance alone.

The partnership now heads to the Paris Nautic Show, running from 25 to 29 November 2026, where the Beneteau x Alpine collaboration will again be on display, carrying forward the same idea: two worlds, one feel for design and performance, on the road and on the water.
