Beneteau has unveiled the Flyer 30, a new day boat the French builder says marks the start of the next generation for its Flyer range.
The Flyer 30 is designed to broaden what a day boat can do, pairing coastal capability with what Beneteau calls intelligent social spaces. It is aimed at boaties who want the sociability and simplicity of a day boat but with the confidence to venture beyond sheltered waters, whether for spontaneous outings, time at anchor, longer coastal runs or evenings on board.
At the core of the new model is a patented SVVT (Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel) twin-step hull, engineered to deliver performance, protection and comfort. Paired with twin outboard engines and a 210 US gallon fuel tank, the Flyer 30 is built to offer the power, responsiveness and range for genuine coastal navigation, while retaining the straightforward handling the Flyer range is known for.
A generous freeboard adds to onboard comfort and security, while a full-height windscreen gives greater protection at speed. Together, these features are intended to keep time on the water composed and reassuring.
Inside, Beneteau has rethought what space can feel like on a 30-foot day boat. The layout is built around a single-level, asymmetrical deck designed to make movement around the boat feel seamless and instinctive, opening up sightlines and improving circulation between different living areas on board.
The design language marks a shift for the range while staying true to Beneteau's design heritage. The hull lines, hardtop and overall silhouette are defined by continuity, balance and lightness, with open sightlines, a floating roof element and carefully proportioned volumes creating what Beneteau describes as a calm yet confident presence on the water.
Finishes follow the same philosophy, with soft tonal palettes, low-contrast textures and premium upholstery, using materials selected for durability in the marine environment. The overall effect, Beneteau says, is a boat that is contemporary and sophisticated yet approachable, standing out through harmony rather than excess.
The Flyer 30 will make its debut at three major international boat shows. Beneteau says the new model signals a broader evolution of the Flyer range, building on its global success while opening up further possibilities for time on the water.
