The world premiere of the all-new Lagoon EIGHTY 2 is set to take place at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, with 36° Brokers offering complimentary tickets to experience it firsthand.
Lagoon's latest flagship is built around extended offshore cruising, pairing generous living spaces with serious bluewater capability. The EIGHTY 2 brings together an expansive saloon, a private owner's sanctuary, and a considered flow between interior and exterior living areas, all conceived around the idea that life aboard should involve no compromise.
Measuring 24.97 metres overall with an 11-metre beam, the EIGHTY 2 cuts an impressive figure on the water. Naval architecture comes from VPLP, while Nauta Design has shaped the interiors, the pairing producing a yacht that balances contemporary aesthetics with enduring nautical character. Attention to detail runs from the curvature of the hull lines right through to the finer points of the cabin fit-out.
Elevated above the deck, the flybridge spans more than 50 m², with twin helms and panoramic sightlines in every direction, and solar panels built into the hardtop structure. Owners can configure this open-air space to suit their cruising life, whether that means a dedicated sunbathing area, an alfresco dining setting, or a fully equipped navigation station.
At the stern, the cockpit connects directly to a 22 m² hydraulic swim platform that adapts to whatever the day calls for. It works equally well as a tender dock, a launch point for a jet ski, or a low terrace at water level for swimming and diving.
Inside, the saloon's flush floorboards and 360-degree glazing dissolve the boundary between the yacht and the sea around it. The atmosphere leans closer to a contemporary seaside villa than a conventional boat interior, with natural light flooding every corner and open sightlines defining the mood on board.
The owner's suite sits apart as a genuine retreat. A king-sized berth faces out to ocean views, a private terrace adjoins the space, and generous areas for relaxation complete the picture. Guest accommodation can be configured to anywhere between 8 and 16 berths, giving the EIGHTY 2 real versatility for private use or charter operations.
The sailing credentials back up the comfort on offer. A sail plan of 338 m² drives the yacht with authority, while a draft of just 1.9 metres opens up shallow anchorages that larger vessels cannot reach. Twin 1,400-litre fuel tanks and a 1,600-litre fresh water capacity give the EIGHTY 2 the self-sufficiency needed for passages well away from the beaten track.
