The America's Cup is stepping off the water and into Naples' charity circuit, lending its name and its people to a fundraising night for the P.U.P.I. Foundation as the sailing world descends on the city for the Prelim Regatta.
Senior team members and America's Cup executives will take part in 'Una Serata di Stelle per PUPI', an evening organised to support the Foundation founded by Javier Zanetti and Paula de la Fuente, which uses sport as a driver of social impact.
Marzio Perrelli, CEO of the America's Cup, said the partnership reflected values the sport holds dear. "Sport has an extraordinary ability to help young people grow, learn and navigate life," he said. "The America's Cup and the global sailing community are deeply committed to 'Sport for Good', and we are proud to stand alongside the P.U.P.I. Foundation in supporting projects that create real opportunities for children and adolescents."
Money raised on the night goes toward the Foundation's 'Lo Sport ci Rende Uguali' programme, which offers educational and recreational activities for children aged 6 to 17.
A share of proceeds will also go to six local associations across Naples working daily on inclusion, wellbeing and youth development through sport.
The gesture underscores the America's Cup's commitment to Naples beyond the racecourse, tying the competition's own values of teamwork and resilience to the Foundation's work on the ground.
