All Things Starling has rolled out a new Debrief Series, a structured set of video content aimed at giving sailors throughout the Starling fleet a genuine resource for lifting their performance on the water.
The series grew out of a single workshop, which has been broken down into six focused recap episodes. Each draws on contributions from six experienced people within the class, and the approach throughout is deliberately practical. Rather than leaning on abstract theory, the videos are built around real observations, hard-won lessons, and on-water advice aimed squarely at junior sailors and mid-fleet competitors looking to improve.
"This series reflects our ongoing commitment to making knowledge accessible across the Starling community," said Vivien Webster, representing All Things Starling. "By breaking down key lessons into focused episodes, we aim to help sailors at all levels improve their understanding and performance."
Central to the series are two themes that matter most when racing gets tight: decision-making on the water and building confidence in competitive situations. The content has been put together to be straightforward to engage with and easy to apply, which means it should translate fairly quickly from watching to doing.
The intended audience extends beyond the sailors themselves. Coaches, parents, and club networks have been considered throughout, recognising that the people supporting a young sailor play just as important a role in their development as the sailor's own effort and learning.
The Debrief Series sits within a broader push by All Things Starling to raise the standard of the class overall. The thinking is that high-quality insight, the kind normally found only in elite performance environments, should be available to the whole fleet. Giving sailors at every level access to that kind of knowledge is what the series is ultimately about.
