Aimee Bright's yellow bib streak stretches to third day in Puck

Aimee Bright continues to lead the under-23 iQFOiL World Championships in Poland, winning three more races overnight (NZ time) to hold the leader's yellow bib for a third straight day.

The Manly Sailing Club sailor has now won seven of the 12 qualifying races sailed in Puck, including three of the four Slalom races completed on Day 3.

Bright leads Norway's Maya Gysler by eight points, while Kiwi Stella Bilger, racing under the Australian flag, has climbed into third overall.

Bright set the pace on day one, winning three of four Course Races, and has led ever since.

The form marks a turnaround from her last outing. At the senior iQFOiL World Championships in Weymouth, illness affected her preparation and she finished 19th.

Her season has otherwise been impressive. She won silver at the iQFOiL European Championships in Portugal in May, and another silver at the Olympic Classes Regatta in Long Beach in July.

Bright also arrives in Puck as defending silver medallist. She finished runner-up to Bilger at last year's under-23 Worlds in Portimão, Portugal, when the two Kiwis secured a one-two finish.

With four Slalom races completed by each fleet on Day 3, Bright's lead remains intact as the championship heads towards its decisive stages.

Racing continues on the Bay of Puck, with live broadcast coverage starting tonight.
