Temperatures climb fast after sunrise. Expect the mercury to reach 26–28°C by mid-morning before pushing on to around 30–31°C through the afternoon. Humidity will build to 60–70 percent, making it feel considerably warmer than the thermometer suggests, both on deck and in the chase boats. Managing the heat will be just as demanding for crews as anything playing out on the racecourse.
The more significant story is the wind, and specifically how little of it there is. Through the middle of the day the breeze struggles to establish itself, barely managing 4–7 knots at its best. Long, glassy lulls are likely within the harbour, broken only by small patches of pressure drifting in from the north or northwest. Those patches will be fleeting, making it genuinely difficult to keep the boats moving. Any foiling will happen in short bursts at most, and there may be extended periods where it is not possible at all.
Sea state will remain flat, ruffled only by harbour traffic and the occasional passing wake.
All of it adds up to another warm, humid, and stubbornly light-air day in Abu Dhabi. Conditions like these tend to come down to patience, clean boat handling, and being in the right place when a puff of breeze decides to show up.
