NZ Marine has confirmed the 2027 Auckland Boat Show will run from 1 to 4 April, with the industry-owned event once again based at Auckland's Viaduct Events Centre and Jellicoe Harbour.
The timing places the show directly after the Ocean Race Auckland Stopover, meaning international visitors and media already in town for the race will still be around to see New Zealand's marine industry in action. It also means Auckland kicks off the Australasian boat show calendar for 2027, ahead of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May and the Australian International Boat Show in Sydney in July.
The show remains built around its on-water format, with the full spread of New Zealand's recreational marine industry on display, from trailer boats and marine gear through to custom-built luxury yachts. Buyers can walk the docks, compare boats side by side, take them out for sea trials, and talk directly with the designers, builders and suppliers behind them. For exhibitors, it's one of the most valuable dates on the calendar for building relationships, launching new products and finding new business.
This year's 25th anniversary show, held in March, gave exhibitors plenty to be pleased about. Across the four days, more than 164 exhibitors representing over 500 brands took part, 35 of them showing at the event for the first time. Visitors took part in 1,220 sea trials and spent more than $10 million over the course of the show.
NZ Marine Boat Show Manager Stacey Cook says the show's identity comes from who it's built for.
