Racing C kept its finest contest for last, delivering one of the day's most compelling finishes in its closing race.
On the water, Nautilass led the fleet home after a solid 1 hour 49 minute race. Paul King's crew crossed the line first, with Young Magic arriving just over a minute back. Ilex was close enough throughout to keep the pressure on right to the finish.
The remainder of the fleet came home in good order. Fifth Dimension and Heartlight both remained in touch all the way to the finish line.

Once the EHC numbers were run, the standings shifted considerably. Young Magic took the corrected time win, with Opportunity moving into second after the calculations were applied. Ilex rounded out the podium in third, though that result is unlikely to be enough to win the division overall. Nautilass, so dominant on the water, slipped back to seventh on handicap.

One notable absence from the results was Nexus, which recorded a DNS. Skipper Cees Romeyn, the oldest sailor on the course, admitted later that he had been feeling the toll of the day.
